It is the mission of the John W. Neth, Jr. Library to provide the resources and services required to support the mission and goals of Williamson Christian College. The college library, in order to carry out its mission, has set forth objectives with the primary objective being to provide books, periodicals, and other instructional materials to support the academic program.

The Library has been named after the long-time Librarian of Milligan College and Emmanuel School of Religion, John W. Neth, Jr., in honor of his generosity and service to the College.

The library collection consists of books, audios, videos, Cd.s, and periodicals. The collection is primarily in the fields of biblical studies, biography, business and organizational management, Christian education, Christian theology, history, music, personal development, and worship.

Books are organized by the Library of Congress Classification System by these call number areas:

A - BV 4500
located in the library/classroom on the main floor of the college.

BV 4501 . Z
located in the Main Library at the rear of the college.
Books are loaned for two weeks. Audiotapes, videos and CD.s are loaned for one week. Items may be renewed once. Materials returned need to be placed in the Return box located on the front counter of the library. Books may be renewed in person or by calling the college at 771-7821.

The Library has accumulated a number of rare books related to the Restoration Movement of the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. These books have been placed in Special Collections are located in the library/classroom on the main floor of the college in lower closed cabinetry. Library Patrons may use this material within the Library. Please ask the librarian for assistance in photocopying fragile materials.

The Library subscribes to more than 55 periodical titles. The most recent copy of each title is displayed in the library/classroom. All periodical back issues are located in the main library. Periodicals do not circulate unless special permission is granted from the librarian.
